The Young Guns Of Country Music
Presents
Rickiejoleen

Hello & welcome to country music singer, Rockiejoleen's web site at The Country Music Planet. I am Jerry Mac, founder of The Country Music Planet & Young Guns Country Music Association. That pretty young lady that you are now looking at is someone I want to tell you a little about before you go off exploring the Internet. To begin with, I want all visitors to this site to know that everyone connected with The Country Music Planet, and The Young Guns Of Country Music are proud to have her as a member of our country music family.
In December of 1987, I was only a 47 year old entertainer doing shows through Florida, Georgia. and the Carolinas. I remember very well telling an audience in some little town in South Carolina that it's time for us old codgers to turn the performing over to the younger ones. I told them that others we have never heard of or hadn't even been born, yet, were the ones that would be entertaining them in the future. Of course, I didn't know it then, but about the time I was making this statement a brand new baby girl was coming into this world thousands of miles away out in the western part of The United States. It wasn't until 11 years later that I met this very special young lady. I was at The Nashville Palace, across the street from Opryland Hotel, in Nashville, TN when I met this 11 year old country singer, Rickiejoleen, and her dad, Rick. I was impressed then with the natural talent and enthusiasm this young lady possessed. Since that meeting she's been busy performing all over Arizona, her home state, going back and forth to Nashville from time to time. Her skills have now been honed to a sharpness that would equal the skills of anyone in country music. My hat is tipped to both her dad, Rick & her mom, Vicky for all the support they have given her through these "skill honing" times. Much bigger things are in store for Rickiejoleen. I feel this in the bottom of my "country to the bone" heart.

In Rickiejoleen's Own Words

Hi! I'm guessing you came to this page to learn more about me. Well, I'm a straight shooter, so I'll get down to it.
I'm Rickiejoleen. I was born in Castro Valley, California on December 16th. I have loved music from the first time the radio was introduced to my ears. I remember singing every chance I got and falling asleep every night to some of my favorite artist. Namely; Bonnie Raitt, Willie Nelson, Aerosmith, and my all time hero, Johnny Cash.
I always sang at school functions and family events. I was immediately drawn to performing. It was awesome to see people feel what you project to them. At every performance, I aim at making people feel as though I am one with them in a song.
Shortly after my family and I relocated to Arizona, I began singing at local hot spots, and started connecting with people who are now a part of my career.
I have collaborated with local musicians like Gary Bruzzese and Jeff Dayton with Glen Campbell's band. I started writing with Scott Johnson (Gin Blossoms) and many other musicians around the age of 8, and about the same time, I picked up the guitar. I have now worked my way up to playing a Gibson Acoustic, Fender Telecaster and Stratocaster, and, also, play a little bass guitar.
I have worked in different venues, varying from "headlining and opening acts", corporate shows to club gigs. I have opened for Daryl Singletary in Lubbock, Texas in 1999; sang the National Anthem at Sugar Ray Leonard Boxing in 2002; opened for Toby Keith at Cricket Pavilion in in Phoenix, Arizona in 2003; Jennifer Hanson at Tucson City Limits in 2004; the Emerson Drive Concert Tour at Rawhide (Scottsdale, Arizona) in February 2004; Trick Pony at the Celebrity First Pitch at Rawhide in March 2004; Arizona Bike Week also at Rawhide; Country Thunder USA 2000 in Queen Creek, Arizona; won the True Value Country Showdown 1999, 2000, 2001 Best Country Act (New Mexico, West Texas and Arizona); headlined the Colgate Country Showdown 2002 in Safford, Arizona; founded the Rodeo Fire Relief Jam in 2002; Country thunder USA in Florence, Arizona in 2003, only naming a few. But for laughs, my first steady show was at a Vietnamese Cafe. To date I still don't know if they ever understood me. But it made a lot of memories one could never forget.
I am currently working in a band three to four days a week - sometimes back to back shows in one day. This helps me gain a lot of on-road experience, paving the way to my future.
My main goals are to get airplay with every major radio station, touring worldwide, and becoming a world class act.
To all who have helped me throughout my career, thank you for believing and having faith in me. THANK YOU!
